Blanc de Pissarres, a suggestive white of a land eminently red.

White wine (Garnacha blanca, Macabeo y Pedro Ximénez) from DO Priorat, produced by the winery Costers del Priorat Made in small quantities, the only white wine in the range of Costers del Priorat comes from selected parcels in the vineyards of Sant Martí and Mas Alsera. It brings together the expression of the local varieties: mineral depth of Macabeo; the citrus energy and Mediterranean character of Garnacha Blanca; and the warmth of Pedro Ximénez. Purity and pleasure in a wine for any occasion, always served fresh at around 12ºC.

It comes from selected plots of the farms of Sant Martí and Mas Alsera. Manual harvesting, The grapes are selected, despalillan and macerated for 3 days. After this period, the wort is transferred and gently pressed with a scrape. Spontaneously begins the fermentation.

The nose shows the marked personality of the Priorat’s White Grenache, with its cha-racteristic notes of white flowers, herbs and fruit skin. The palate is unctuous, with citrus and smoky flavours. The finish is very persistent and offers a surprising and lovely sweet touch. It is the warm and charming footprint of the Pedro Ximenez variety, in interesting balance with a fresh and genuine minerality.

Costers del Priorat is a winery founded in 2000 by a group of experienced winemakers and wine entrepreneurs: Enric Solé, Pablo Urgell, Josep Massana, Marc Massana, Josep Ramon Sedó and Francesc Berenguer. To this group joins, from 2008, Josep Mas, oenologist with ample international baggage.
Costers del Priorat produces wines made from grapes from three historic farms on slopes of llicorella, in the heart of the Priory. The farms called Sant Martí, Mas Alsera and Les Solanes are located in the municipalities of Bellmunt, Torroja and El Molar, respectively. The building of the winery is located in the last area mentioned, Les Solanes de El Molar.
