Barcolobo El Jaral, high uniqueness in pure terroir.

Wine from Tierra de Castilla y Leon, made with a blend of the varieties Cabernet sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo. Elaborated with own vineyards in trellis, located in the Natural Reserve “Riberas de Castronuño – Vega del Duero”. Altitude of 705 meters above sea level.

The harvest is done manually in boxes of 15 kilograms at dawn and are transferred immediately to cold rooms.
Selection of grapes in wine cellar, de-stemming without squeezing. Each variety and plot are individually adapted according to their characteristics. Pre-fermentative maceration at controlled temperature of 8 ° C for 5 days. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out at 24 ° C, with a peak of a few hours at 30 ° C for 5 days. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in new French oak barrels.
Breeding 18 months in new French oak barrels of 225 liters, very fine grain and medium roasted. Five rounds coinciding with the moon changes.
Once bottled the wine is bottled for a minimum of 24 months.


Pale red color, with purple trim, shiny. Ripe fruit with balsamic notes, cedar and tobacco, sweet spices, dairy, clean and fragrant. In the mouth it is balanced, fresh and persistent, with long aftertaste.
Great from the moment of purchase. The winery recommends decanting it before serving it.
In 2001, the Isidro Rincón family fulfilled the old dream of recovering the winemaking tradition that was there in the area of the Natural Reserve “Riberas de Castronuño – Vega del Duero” a place of exceptional conditions. This way, the most suitable vineyards were converted into vineyards and an old breadbasket and grain store was rehabilitated, which now houses the facilities of the Barcolobo wine cellar.

Its philosophy is based on a consideration of maximum respect for the grapes, where the dedication of the work in the vineyard guarantees the excellence of the raw material. Soil and vineyard are therefore intimately linked and both contribute much of the originality and typicality to their wines.
