In 1979, the marriage formed by Marisol Bueno and Javier Mareque acquired the estate of the Manor of Señoráns in which kiwis and grapes of the Albariño variety were cultivated.
As the house had a large wine cellar, the marriage was encouraged to embark on the adventure of winemaking with its own grapes, mostly Albariño. The initial approach was to use this warehouse for own use, although its size allowed them to produce also to meet the demand of other wineries, to which it sold a quantity of its production.

Later, Marisol, a tenacious woman of great determination, began to look further, and took advantage of her knowledge in biology to produce a target to be sold in the bottle. Thus, with the vintage of 1990 appeared the first Pazo de Señoráns with a production of 7,000 units, a figure that was extended to 10,000 units a few years later. Marisol always had faith in her region and the Albariño grape, which led her to hold for 20 years the position of president of the Rías Baixas Regulatory Council.
