Bodegas Ribera del Duratón is the result of the wine love of the Magaña Family. In 1985, Luis Magaña, a great lover and connoisseur of the world of the vineyard, discovered this farm in Valtiendas, a privileged area for the cultivation of the vine due to the complexity of the terrain, its altitude and microclimate. After studying the terrain in depth, he decided to plant varieties of Tempranillo, Syrah (pioneer in the area of Castilla y León) and Malbec. In this family project, his two daughters, Natalia and Sofia, take care of the technical and commercial part.
Natalia Magaña after her studies in Biology in Madrid, obtained the national diploma in oenology in Bordeaux. She collected her experience in some of the most prestigious Châteaux in Bordeaux to capture all the identity of his vineyards; While the commercial work and international expansion falls on Sofía Magaña.
