Menguante Selección Garnacha Tinta, the rebirth of the Grenache in Cariñena.

Calcareous soils of small gravels called “canalejo”. These gravels allow excellent drainage when it rains.  Mediterranean climate with pronounced continental features.

After the harvest, starts the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 12 days at a temperature between 26 and 27. Then place the second fermentation, also called malolactic, also in stainless steel tanks for about 25 days at a temperature of 18 °.Spend 8 months in new French oak barrels of 400 liters.

Wears a cherry color with violet edges. In nose collect interesting flavors among which are those of fresh red fruit and citrus on toasted background echoes. Mouth,  meaty, spacious, pleasant, with ripe tannins and fatty. Swig long, persistent and abundant shades retronasal.

A demonstration that the lands of Aragon, and in particular Carignan, are an excellent stronghold for the Grenache. In this case, the quality is amply justified both by the selection of grapes from old vines and the rigor of development, with just the touch of Grenache barrel to express his distinguished fruitiness.

Menguante Garnacha Selección is sourced from old vineyards on chalk-rich soils with 10% inclination. The wine aged for eight months in new French oak barrels. The nose is elegant, showing aromas of red berries, touches of smoke and spices and Mediterranean aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary) and a floral touch that adds elegance and some complexity. The palate is medium-bodied and harmonious with very pleasant, round tannins and moderate acidity.

They built new facilities and incorporated art technology always at the service of the vineyard, authentic family passion. Privileging the native varieties such as Grenache, Carignan and Vidadillo inks or white Grenache, it has been and remains the main challenge of José Pablo, a processor that works with almost 100 hectares and keeps track tradition. Its wines are the expression of their vineyards.
