Erre Punto, the young essence of the Rioja Alavesa.

Red wine form the D.O Rioja, 90% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha, 5% Viura and Malvasía.


This is a young wine crafted with the tips of bunches the the winery would normally select for their  Reserva  wines.  This wine combines the most innovative grape sorting methods as well as the very traditional method of carbonic maceration typical of the Rioja Alavesa region.


Manual harvest of grape from vineyards of 30 years old average in 12kg boxes and thermo regulated in specially designed cooling chambers during 24 hours (4-6 degrees) prior to fermentation. Selection of grape on tables and separation of shoulders and tips. This wine is elaborated from the tips of the clusters. Fermentation in small stainless steel tanks and 7000 liter based on the Carbonic Maceration wine making process.

Purple clean young colour. In nose red wild fruit, licorice & flowers from the spring.

The Palate has velvety nice tannins, very fresh & easy to drink with a hint of Carbonic.

The winery Remirez de Ganuza is in the centre of Samaniego, Álava.  Surrounded by a hamlet of rambling old buildings, the winery comprises modern concrete buildings covered with original old brickwork in keeping with the traditional architecture of the local area.

Grouped around a large central courtyard divided by a natural waterway, the buildings making up the winery have their own separate purpose in the various stages of the crafting of the wine: an area for the barrels, cellars, cold rooms and a selection area.


The traditional architecture of the winery complete with an interior made of hundred-year-old oak beams contrasts with pioneering and innovative modern methods.
