Red Wine from D.O Jumilla, Crápula Soul seems to be a special selection blending Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged for 16 months in oak barrels, slightly closed, more subtle, less in-your face with some elegant floral notes, blueberries and all spice.
The palate follows a similar path to its siblings, powerful, dense and slightly drying, but the blend of different grapes seems to take the oak-aging better. It recommended give it some time in bottle to polish the tannins.
The seduction of ripe fruit, velvet tannins and balsamic saturated fresh Mediterranean nature, are assembled with forcefulness , elegance and harmony. All balance.
The grapes are from vineyards of 70 years old. harvested on manual selection bunch by bunch . Aging: 15 months in new French oak barrels of fine grain.
Crápula Soul is a project of Gabriel Martinez Valero , born in Jumilla and resident in this town forever. Its origins in the world of wine date back to 1999 when , together with other partners , founded the Bodegas Casa de la Ermita.
