Barolo DOG Monprivato, a gift of feeling for life.

Red Wine 100% Nebbiolo from the Monprivato, in the village of Castiglione Falletto (CN)

Estate-grown bunches thinned during the summer undergo traditional-style, floating cap fermentation for 20/25 days. The wine is then matured in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels for around 36 months.

Garnet red color with orange-coloured highlights; in nose is complex, very fruity, elegant, intense, with spices remembrances and flowery sensations.
The palate is simple but have an excellent body with power and stuffing, demanding, masculine, long and full.

The Mascarello family property extends over 15 hectares of vineyards, all located within the Barolo wine-growing area. Some, like the MONPRIVATO vineyard, can now be said to be a part of the family history, while the grapes grown on others were first purchased by Mauro before – having had the opportunity to ascertain their quality – he managed to buy the vineyards for the estate.

The Mauro Mascarello family MONPRIVATO vineyard is located in the village of Castiglione Falletto, and is a classic prime medium-hillside site stretching over six hectares (15 acres) at 280 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Barolo wine-growing area. It is historic vineyard, as is confirmed by old land registry archives dating back to 1666.
