Red Wine 100% Mencía (D.O. Bierzo) The grapes come from the vineyard property, El Ferro, located in the Villa de Corullón. The vineyard is located between 800 and 860 meters with a southeast orientation.
The grapes were partially destemmed and fermented in small wooden tubs open with “bazuqueos”. Maceration approximately 36 months. Spontaneous malolactic in barrel.
Aging about 14 months in new French oak barrels.The potential is very high for immediate consumption from its tenth year in bottle.
Garnet red color, purple trim.The nose was explosive, with aromas of gunpowder and black pepper, orange peel, aniseed, fennel and aromatic herbs, wild berries and a fine, almost chalky mineral.
