Deep cherry color. Aroma of ripe, intense fruit, a wine that removes the “feel of ourselves” whose nose jumps outside of the glass, violets, spicy black, tempting and telluric oak, with hints of soil, and an Atlantic character mixed with Mediterranean herbs has a medium-bodied palate with great freshness, acidity and long, pure flavors that are outlined in the mouth for a long time, ending very spicy and earthy, almost saline.Ribera de Duero wine to consume now to 2020.
The Dominio de Atauta Winery is built in four heights on rock and completely in severity (to avoid unnecessary pumping) in a side of the valley, surrounded by vineyards, 7 km south of the town of San Esteban de Gormaz, through which the Duero. One of the peculiarities of Atauta, is the altitude at which the vineyard is between 950 and 1000 meters above sea level, giving it a slower ripening of the grapes. It is harvested by hand and every grape enters the top floor from where it falls to deposits located on the next level.
